TEC was founded by Brian Tarantino, our current President, to provide structural engineering that encompasses both design and forensic (investigative) offerings in the mid-Atlantic Region. In 2022 TEC acquired Dunlap Engineering merging their experience dating back to 1994 with our own offerings. Our service area has blossomed to cover the entire the country, assisting our clients in most of the United States.

We seek to work with clients that understand the value in a trusted consultant, looking for long term service relationships. Our clients trust us with their high-profile, award-winning design projects, but you’ll find the attention to detail, quality, and budget in every one of the projects we consult on.

What makes us unique among engineering firms is that our practice areas are all in house and integrated. Our forensic practice continuously teaches us what designs go wrong in buildings, as well as arms us with invaluable knowledge to incorporate into our structural designs. And our steel connection design practice is a specialty, not offered by many other design firms.
